Yes. Hired Resume is led by Susan Maplethorpe, a Certified Professional Resume Writer (CPRW). Our team follows a professional writing process focused on strategy, ATS alignment, and clear employer-ready positioning.
Yes. You can view resume samples on our Samples page. All examples are anonymized or adapted to protect client privacy while still showing the structure, style, and level of strategy we bring to each project.
Yes. You can send your current resume, even if it feels outdated, too long, too generic, or incomplete. Your writer will review what’s already there, identify what needs to be strengthened, and rebuild the content so it better supports your target roles.
You may benefit from a professional resume writer if your resume feels outdated, isn’t getting responses, or doesn’t clearly show the value behind your experience.
Many clients come to us when they’re changing roles, returning to the job market, moving up, or struggling to turn accomplishments into clear employer-ready language.
A strong writer can help organize your story, sharpen your positioning, and build a document aligned with the roles you’re targeting.
Think of it like investing in other services that help you move toward an important goal, whether that’s hiring a tutor, working with a personal trainer, or getting guidance from a financial advisor.
A professional resume writer does something similar for your career. The right writer helps organize your background, sharpen your positioning, and create a resume that presents your value more clearly to employers. For many clients, the return comes from saving time, reducing guesswork, and applying with stronger materials for better-fit opportunities.
Hired Resume has spent 15+ years helping clients build stronger, more targeted career documents. Our process is led by experienced resume professionals and shaped around strategy, ATS alignment, and personalized writing instead of generic templates.
With a 98.7% client success rate and a 4.9-star Google rating, we’ve built our reputation on human-written resumes, direct support, and documents tailored to each client’s goals.
Process, Timeline & Writer Communication
Start by choosing the package or service that fits your career stage and goals. After checkout, you’ll send your current resume, target roles, and any job postings or notes you want your writer to consider.
Your assigned writer will review your background, create the first draft, and send it within 3–5 business days once we have the details needed to begin. Rush service may be available on eligible orders, with a 24–48 hour turnaround.
If you’re on a tight deadline, feel free to email us at info@hiredresume.com before ordering or immediately after checkout. That way, we can confirm whether rush service is available for your timeline.
After you review the draft, you can share feedback during the included revision window so we can polish the final files before delivery.
Yes. After your order is placed, you’ll work directly with your assigned writer by email, phone, text, or online meeting as needed. Your writer will review your resume, target roles, and any details you share, then stay involved through drafting and revisions so the final document reflects your background and goals.
Most clients begin by sending their current resume and target roles. From there, your assigned writer reviews the material, identifies any gaps, and follows up by email, phone, text, or online meeting when more context is needed.
Many clients begin seeing stronger responses or interview activity within 14–30 days of using their new resume, especially when they’re applying consistently to well-matched roles. However, results can vary based on industry, market conditions, role level, and application strategy.
A professionally written resume helps by improving structure, keyword alignment, ATS compatibility, and the way your experience is presented to employers. The sooner you start applying with the final version, the sooner you give the resume a chance to work.
You’ll receive your final resume in Microsoft Word (.docx) and PDF formats. The Word version is fully editable, and the PDF is ready to upload or share when an application calls for that format.

ATS, LinkedIn & Specialty Services
ATS stands for Applicant Tracking System. Many employers use ATS software to collect, organize, and screen applications. That’s why we use structured formatting, clear section headings, and relevant keywords so your resume is easier for these systems to read while still making sense to human reviewers.
We use structured formatting, clear section headings, and role-specific keywords drawn from your target jobs. The goal is to make your resume easier for applicant tracking systems to read while keeping the content clear, relevant, and useful for recruiters and hiring managers.
Yes. Recruiters and hiring managers often use LinkedIn to review a candidate’s background, skills, career direction, and overall credibility. A stronger profile can support your resume, improve your online presence, and create a more consistent professional brand. We can update your current profile or write new LinkedIn content aligned with your target roles.
Yes. Federal resumes and academic CVs require different structure, length, and detail than a standard resume. We can help organize your experience, accomplishments, keywords, and supporting information so the document fits the role, agency, program, or academic path you’re targeting.
Yes. Resume packages include up to 3 rounds of revisions within 14 business days. After that revision window, additional changes may be available for an added fee depending on the scope of the request.
We generally recommend clean, ATS-friendly formatting over heavy graphics, icons, tables, or image-based layouts. For creative fields, we can still build a polished, visually distinctive resume, but the priority is always readability, strategy, and compatibility with employer screening systems.
Yes. Career changes are one of the times when resume strategy matters most. We’ll identify your transferable skills, reframe your experience, and shape the document around the roles you’re targeting so employers can see how your background connects to your next step.
Our free resume review gives you a practical first look at how your current resume may be performing. We evaluate structure, formatting, keyword alignment, ATS compatibility, overall presentation, and whether your experience is coming through clearly.
You’ll receive a personalized Resume Readiness Score with direct feedback from a real Hired Resume writer, usually within 24–48 hours after submission.
The review is designed to show what’s already working, where the document may be falling short, and what could be improved before you keep applying.
Yes. Hired Resume offers interview and career coaching to help you prepare stronger answers, clarify your career story, and speak more effectively about your experience. We can help with common interview questions, role-specific talking points, salary conversations, follow-up strategy, and the interview format you’re preparing for.
We also offer The Interview Success Blueprint: a practical guide designed to help candidates prepare strategically, answer with confidence, and handle interviews with more clarity and composure.
Revisions, Refunds & Guarantees
Yes. Resume packages include up to 3 rounds of revisions within 14 business days. After that revision window, additional changes may be available for an added fee depending on the scope of the request.
Tell us what feels off: the tone, focus, missing details, or alignment with your target roles. Most concerns can be addressed through the included revision process.
If the project still isn’t clicking after clear feedback, we’ll review the situation and may assign a different writer when appropriate. Sometimes a fresh perspective helps.
Because resume writing is a custom professional service, all sales are final and Hired Resume does not offer cash refunds. Each order involves writer assignment, resume review, strategy development, drafting, and personalized document work that begins after purchase and cannot be returned, reused, or resold.
Instead of cash refunds, eligible clients receive a structured revision period and access to our 90-Day Interview Guarantee when the stated conditions are met. Full details are available in our Terms of Service.
Employer decisions, hiring timelines, and market conditions are outside any resume writer’s control. That said, Hired Resume backs its work with a 90-Day Interview Guarantee for eligible clients.
If you don’t receive an interview request within 90 days of final delivery, we’ll complete one targeted rewrite at no additional cost when the guarantee conditions are met.
Your package also includes a structured revision period so your writer can make updates after the first draft based on your feedback, background, and target roles.
No resume service can guarantee a job offer, salary increase, or employer decision. Hired Resume does offer a 90-Day Interview Guarantee for eligible clients, but hiring outcomes depend on many factors, including job market conditions, role fit, application activity, interview performance, and employer timelines.
We read every message.
